Rose - Period & Cycle Tracker ("Rose", "we", "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal and health data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information.

Rose collects and stores the following data locally on your device:

• Menstrual cycle dates and period tracking data
• Symptoms and health notes
• Water intake records
• App preferences and settings

All sensitive data is stored locally and remains encrypted on your device. Certain cycle data may be shared with third-party AI services only with your explicit in-app consent (see Section 4 for details).

We implement strong security measures to protect your data:

• All health data is encrypted using industry-standard encryption
• Biometric authentication (Face ID / Touch ID) support
• PIN/password protection option
• Ghost Mode for additional privacy
• Screen blur when app is in background

4. Third-Party Services

Rose uses the following third-party services:

• Google Gemini AI (Rose AI Assistant):

  The Rose AI Assistant feature uses Google's Gemini AI service to provide personalized cycle recommendations. When you enable this feature, the following data is sent to Google Gemini AI:

  • Data sent: Cycle day, cycle phase, cycle length, period duration, recent symptoms, mood entries, pain levels, and sleep duration.
  • Data NOT sent: Your email address, name, location, device identifiers, or any other personally identifiable information.
  • User consent: Data is only shared after you provide explicit consent through an in-app permission dialog when you first open the AI Assistant. You can decline, and the feature will not be activated.
  • Purpose: To generate personalized health and wellness recommendations based on your cycle data.
  • Third-party protection: Google processes this data in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy and Gemini API Terms of Service, which provide protections for user data.
• Google AdMob: Displays advertisements. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data for ad personalization. See Google's Privacy Policy.
• RevenueCat: Manages in-app purchases and subscriptions. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.

5. Data Export & Deletion

You have full control over your data:

• Export: You can download all your data as a PDF from the app settings.
• Delete: You can delete all your data at any time from the app settings. This action is irreversible.

6. Children's Privacy

Rose is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

7. Permissions

Rose may request the following device permissions:

• Notifications: To send period and cycle reminders
• Biometrics: For Face ID / Touch ID authentication (optional)

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
